Recently, I have cleared my JavaScript Developer - 1 Certification on 9th May 2021. Hurray!!!
And after clearing that exam I feel to create a path for my friends because I found that certification
little tougher, So I was willing to share my path to clear the certification.
Agenda
What paths I followed to clear the JavaScript developer I certification. What are the prerequisites and How much time it will take for me to learn all these and what effects or knowledge I gain from this certification?
Salesforce has come up with this exclusive certification with JavaScript language which drives me to
learn and earn this which eventually will help me on LWC and other open-source development.
This certification is in high demand nowadays which motivates me to pass and share my tips.
What things I know before start preparing for the certification:
The JavaScript Developer I exam is intended for individuals who have the knowledge, skills, and
experience to develop front-end and/or back-end JavaScript applications for the web stack.
Knowledge of Salesforce Platform.
Should have good hands-on experience with Javascript.
Should know how we use Javascript for development in salesforce.
Should be aware of using Lightning Components.
As Salesforce continues to build and support more open source technologies e.g Lightning Web Components and becomes more involved with ECMA TC39.
So, Before Moving forward, prepare yourself for deep diving into the fundamentals of JavaScript.
Exam Details:
This certification is comprised of two parts as below:
Multiple Choice Exam (Main Exam of Javascript Developer 1 Certification held by Salesforce).
Lightning Web Component Superbadge.
The exam consists of 60 MCQ. with allotted timing of 105 min and the required passing percentage is 65% at least 39-40 questions.
For appearing in exams there is no prerequisite.
But, for earning the certification PDF we need to complete the LightningWeb Components Superbadge.

Exam Preparation:
First, from an exam and certification point of view, we should have a great theory and practical
knowledge (minimum 6 months of experience in Lightning Component Development).
Focus more on the keywords and short ways of doing work. First, think and then start coding.
